  Yes Rogue One is definitely my favorite of the Disney era, stands apart from the others. I'd say I like it just as much as the original films.

  Edit: And by original films I mean 1-6. 😁

  This requirement does not apply to whether elders or others report allegations of a crime.

  But isn't this new in a way? I thought elders could tell others that it's their choice to go to authorities, but if they ever did such a thing themselves before calling HQ they'd be in trouble. Isn't this giving them permission to do that now?

  Are the younger generation taking on roles in the Cong?

  i notice that several of the congs i've been to seem to have a majority of the male roles performed by older men.

  very few young men are wanting to be ms or elders etc.

  it also seems like very few young people are being pioneers either.. would you agree with this?

  Not where I'm at. Here you need to be at least 40's to be appointed a MS or be an attendant, and even mic handlers are a strict position.

  I'd say it's right up there among the worst. While I thought The Last Jedi was a good movie, way better than the nostalgia fest that was The Force Awakens and closer to what Lucas would've done, that scene was pretty bad in multiple ways, including the inconsistent moral of STOPPING someone from sacrificing themselves to save many others, something that Luke ended up doing moments later.

  even if Obama was right about something, Trump would likely take the opposite position just because it was Obama

  Nonsense. Obama built border walls and deployed tear gas against hostile illegal immigrants during his tenure, but as soon as it's Trump doing it it's an "immorality". It's quite obvious that it is the left who goes that immature route, to go the opposite of whatever their opponent is saying.

  Snopes and the Covington students

  while i still regularly check snopes' headlines and think it's a valuable resource, its' left leaning is showing a bit with the current covington headlines.

  while snopes is usually among the first to fully dissect a hot topic, even publishing numerous articles over a short period about the same thing, they seemed to have backed off this one, even though this story begs for fact checking ten times more than some others!

  the daily wire on the other hand did plenty of good, detailed, referenced fact checking on it, putting snopes to shame.

  While I still regularly check Snopes' headlines and think it's a valuable resource, its' left leaning is showing a bit with the current Covington headlines. While Snopes is usually among the first to fully dissect a hot topic, even publishing numerous articles over a short period about the same thing, they seemed to have backed off this one, even though this story begs for fact checking ten times more than some others! The Daily Wire on the other hand did plenty of good, detailed, referenced fact checking on it, putting Snopes to shame. One article that Snopes did publish related to the students was this one about the bogus claim that they were caught wearing blackface:

  You'll notice that even though the article debunks it, the result is listed as

  "True"!

  Why? Because of the wording of the question:

  "Is This Picture from a Covington Catholic High School Basketball Game?"

  Well . . . Yeah, but that wasn't the issue. And in an age of outrage mobs that read headlines but never the article, what do you think the result will be? Even in the article, right after debunking it by showing how the color black was worn in support of the team, they found it laughably necessary to quote some random person on an obscure forum that said it reminded him of blackface . . . seriously. While they initially published four news style articles under the assumption the narrative was fact, once the truth came out they never made one of their signature fact checking articles with a "True" or "False" conclusion. They published two articles from the student's point of view, one of them brief, almost a blurb, and yet another one that said there are 'many interpretations' of what actually happened. Nope, the truth is already out there and it's too late. My rating of your reporting on this: "Mostly False"

  It reminded me of the numerous slick videos they've made of Bethel celebrities making appearances in natural disaster areas, coupled with the victims made to give testimonials about how "God's Organization" saved the day.

  I saw one case: man had extended affair, plan to remarry, some in the congregation knew, only admitted it because he was caught . . . and yet he was privately reproved for 6 months. He is a charming ass kisser with a knack for 'theocratic' terminology, so that may have played a role. So again, it's anything three Elders can agree on basically. Don't expect there to be a fair, consistent standard as if they were, you know, directed by God's spirit or something.
